3A12 TRMM-PR

3A12 monthly TRMM-PR product data

Precipitation Radar (PR) data from TRMM satellite were acquired from the DAAC NASA server. Only surface rain rate and vertical profiles of precipitation water and latent heat are provided on a 0.5 x 0.5 latitude/longitude grid. Note that vertical levels for precipitation water content are slightly different for the latent heat profile, thus the two different GrADS control files and data files (see the 3A12 TRMM-PR LH dataset).

If you use the data for your research, please kindly acknowledge the source as follows:
"The data used in this study were acquired as part of the Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission (TRMM). The algorithms were developed by the TRMM Science Team. The data were processed by the TRMM Science Data and Information System (TSDIS) and the TRMM Office; they are archived and distributed by the Goddard Earth Sciences Data and Information Services Center (GES DISC). TRMM is an international project jointly sponsored by the Japan National Space Development Agency (NASDA) and the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Office of Earth Sciences.
