Gridded Annual HydroBase2 Pacific Ocean T and S
HydroBase is a tool for climatological analysis of oceanographic properties. Building upon isopycnal averaging techniques developed for the Lozier et al. (1995) North Atlantic climatology, it provides a flexible means of producing and analyzing datasets customized to investigators' research needs. The original version of HydroBase has been completely revamped in version 2. The software was totally rewritten to conform to ANSI standards and to insure portability. Many new functions and features have been added to the suite of software tools, and the database has been updated to incorporate the substantial data set acquired during the World Ocean Circulation Experiment (WOCE). The package is freely distributed and requires an ANSI C compiler plus the netCDF libraries for installation on a local platform. The HydroBase package is comprised of both software and database portions.
