EN4: quality controlled subsurface ocean temperature and salinity objective analyses

Analyses with two different sets of bias corrections applied are available: 1) Gouretski and Reseghetti (2010) corrections [g10] and 2) Levitus et al (2009) corrections [l09]. In both cases the corrections used were updates of the original corrections published in the papers. Please get in touch with the Hadley Centre if you would like to use data without bias corrections applied or if you would like data with different corrections.

Description of the dataset
The EN4 dataset consists of two products: Observed subsurface ocean temperature and salinity profiles with data quality information, and objective analyses formed from the profile data with uncertainty estimates. Only the objective analyses are provided here. Data are available from 1900 to the present.
